Daredevil

Winter recently became the proud owner of a 'Likebike'. It's also called a 'balance bike' as it doesn't have pedals (or training wheels). The driver uses their feet to get up speed then cruises along learning how to balance. Kids can then progress to a normal bike bypassing training wheels.

they are sold in a shop in Northcote and lots of local kids burn around on them. Winter was a bit cool about the bike at first but after a couple of weeks of practice has come around to it with a vengeance. He loves it because he has total control over it. He can pick it up and maneuver it all on his own as its light and streamlined.

Today he decided to take it for a spin at the skate park next to the playground where we were playing. He fearlessly bowled on over and marked out his territory. Not surprisingly a small but steep ramp took his fancy. He saw the way the skaters would practice a move over and over and applied this to his ramp.

The big boys were impressed but Mum & Dad were a little weak at the knees (Dad ran to the car to get his helmet, note the street puppy dog helmet was a Richie purchase!)
