Festival

It was the 'High Vibes' music fesitval in Northcote today. The High Street is shut off for a multitude of food and entertainment activitites. We met up with our Northcote posse in the kids bit for pony rides, balloons, a dj dressed like the cat in the hat and other exciting craft and cake stuff. The big people and little people formed seperate crews and enjoyed each other's company according to size.

Party

We celebrated Granny Ros's birthday on saturday.

Poor Baxi was feeling out of sorts with an attractive combo of conjunctivitis and snotty head cold.

Winter however had a ball the highlight being cake. Here he is transfixed by his first experience of sparklers.

Boy band

We have had some new friends move in 2 doors up from us. Winter and Satchmo are the same age and get along like a house on fire. The guys are loving hanging out in each others cribs. Mucking around together they suddenly seem very grown up, standing around the kitchen asking for apple juice, taking each other's wheels for a spin up & down the hallway. They looked super cute when they squeezed up together in the pic above, being buddies on the oversized couch!

Once they were finished being cute we turned up the stereo so the boys could rock out to the Moldy Peaches doing Little Bunny Foo Foo.

Baxi rocked the hardest

Garden

We had a lovely family sunny 20 degrees saturday in the garden today. It was boy heaven with plenty of mud and trucks and sand and splashing and fosicking around.

Baxter loves getting his little hand busy in the dirty muddy action.

I was all packed up and ready to go for a morning outting but I couldn't convince anyone to leave the home base fun zone.

Haul

I was so pleased with this charity shop find that I thought i'd share it with a photo on the blog. Its a colourful collection of crocheted coat hangers in a variety of imaginative styles.

This children's swan hanger comes complete with a tiny plastic baby hanging in a basket!

Jazzy

I found a fabulous pair of acid wash high waisted jeans direct from 1988 at a charity store this week. Just in time to get tissed up for a couple of nights out on the town this week (Rich had snagged some fashion week tickets).

Outside

Its very exciting to be spending more time playing outside again now the weather is warming up. We had a lovely moment last week when the boys sat down together and ate watermelon. I'm not sure if the pictures translate but it was one of those 'satisfying parenting moments' that make the daily grind worthwhile.

5 mins of peace while they chomped

It must have been a true taste sensation for B as it was his first experience with the flavour of watermelon.

Toga

I left Winter watching TV whilst I went off to get dressed the other morning and came back to discover Winter had been multi-tasking.

Parcel

Its an exciting day when a parcel arrives for Winter.

This was an excpetionally good one packed full of goodies. Winter was very pleased with his new paint pallet. He loved opening up the lid and going dip dip dip with the brush in the water then dab dab dab with the brush in the paint. This was enough entertainment in itself. Mum felt inspired too and wanted to take over.

Thank you Godmother Livvie!
