Getting Crafty on the Balcony

Winter loves playing with water. I fill things up them he tips them out.

I was very pleased with my imaginative mothering skills when I thought of this old moisteriser container for him to play with. It makes a great dual purpose toy as he finds opening the lid (with his teeth) fascinating and can also squeeze it to squirt water everywhere. You can see the intense concentration in this photo!

All this splashing and squirting also provides mum with plenty of entertainment i.e. repeating 1000 times a day 'No this stays outside not inside' Posted by Picasa

Taylor-Wood visit

Kristian and Michelle visited from London last week. They were here to attend sister Sam's solo show opening at the MCA. We were lucky enough to tag along. It was a rare treat to slip out of my banana encrusted pinny and slip back into arty party mode. I was in my element when we got our photos taken by the papers!

Later in the week we spent a relaxed afternoon together picnicing at Parsley Bay.

Spot the locals wearing hats and edging towards the shade.

The visitors were determined to return with a tan.

1 Yr Old Action Man

These photos were taken during Birthday Week. He has been walking for a couple of months and has now graduated to running.

Swings are a hit!

Playgrounds in general are a hit.

Sliding is the #1 favorite activity. No help from Mum required!

Messy

I think there should be more photography of children that is based in reality. Winter looks something like this the majority of the time. For some reason, however we like to show only the happy clean photos. I am planning to start sharing the real story with this blog!
